Cardinal

Cardinal draws from the meeting of two separate inspirations: the refined character of 19th-century British naval interiors and the raw simplicity of early American Quaker furniture.

From the former, it takes the richness of mahogany and the depth of lacquered woods; from the latter, a sense of weight, honesty, and structural permanence. These are pieces conceived to endure: furniture made to travel, to be lived with, and to offer comfort that withstands time.

Each object is grounded by a robust architectural structure, anchoring itself within the room and creating a quiet sense of protection and reassurance. There is something almost sheltering in its presence: a deliberate solidity that brings the body and the space around it back to a sense of calm.

Cardinal seeks to create this feeling of groundedness: a sense of safety, permanence, and familiarity while remaining timeless in character.
